Patio Playhouse
Proudly Presents Moon Over Buffalo

Come ready to laugh at this wacky backstage comedy by Kevin Ludwig, running Aug. 28 through Sept. 20.

Escondido, CA – (August 20, 2015)  Patio Playhouse is proud to present Moon Over Buffalo, a comedy taking place behind the curtains! The public is invited to grab a backstage pass and witness the madness and mayhem of this entertaining show from the comfort of their seats.   The 3-week run will begin Friday, August 28 and play through Sunday, September 20, with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. and afternoon performances on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Synopsis:

This beloved backstage comedy by the author of Lend me a Tenor brought Carol Burnett out of retirement to play Charlotte (and earned her a Tony nomination!). Two aging stars of stage and husband and wife team, George and Charlotte Hay, have been reduced to playing Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives with a cast of five. But they have one last chance to make it big - famous director Frank Capra is coming in to see a matinee, and rumor has it that he's looking to cast his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Their grown daughter Rosalind has brought her fiancée to demonstrate the value of a regular life, only to find that she’s still in love with stage manager Paul. Add Ethel’s nearly deaf and George-hating mother to round out the mayhem... and all ages will love this!

The show features Richard Rivera (George) and Eliane Weidauer (Charlotte), leading a cast which includes Candice McClung (Ethel), Greg Crabill (Richard), Josh Meihaus (Howard), Kat Vaughn (Roz), Greg Falge (Paul), and Cindy Chavez (Eileen).
